Good value
Good boats, not quite as new as Sunsail or Moorings but MUCH cheaper. A bit of a sail from the pretty cruising grounds, but worth the trip.

Service is good, were helpful in the charter briefing... never had to call them while underway but they promised to get to us within 4 hours if anything went wrong.

Terrific company
I have chartered many places - over 10 times in caribbean alone - and CYOA is the best of the bunch. This most recent charter, about an hour away from leaving the base, I realized that I forgot one of our bags on the dock. I called the company to ask them to hold it for me while I came back to get it. They insisted on bringing it out to me instead - and quickly came out to deliver it.

Incredible service, absolute attention to the customer. Boat was good, no problems at all. Could not be happier

Bad Experience with CYOA
We had a very bad experience with CYOA. We should have been alerted immediately by the foul odors in the boat that were obvious during the initial checkout. Our first serious problem occurred while leaving the dock on day one, the steering cable broke. It was a result of a rotted steering line that should have been picked up by routine maintenance. The second serious problem occurred on day two when we ran out of fresh water. During our initial checkout, we were told that the water gauge was broken but there was no problem with the system. Before leaving the dock, however, I “topped” off the water. When “topping” took 15 minutes and about 100+ gallons, I should have known that there was a bigger problem with both the boat and CYOA management. We spent the week on the boat with a leaking fresh water tank that was only able to hold water for about 1 hour after every fill. My family and I did not let the problems with the boat get the better of us and we did have a great week. The other problems, though, are too numerous to review here. Needless to say, the blocked head due to a bad check valve was the most unpleasant. The bottom line is that CYOA did a very poor job addressing these problems. The boat should never have been allowed to reach such disrepair. The CYOA rates were lower than the competition but there was no savings. This was my 5th charter and my first and last with CYOA. I will avoid CYOA in the future.

Our BEST vacation ever!
We used CYOA in August. We had a non stop flight from NYC, no delays, great flight and great start for our vacation. We found the dock staff to be friendly and very helpful. We took advantage of the provisioning option and CYOA had the groceries on the boat for us when my whole crew showed up.
Charter briefing was very thorough. It had been several years since we had sailed in the BVI's. The personal briefing made us (me) feel very at ease. We chartered the Hunter 49 for our WHOLE famiy . It was our BEST family vacation ever. We definately will charter with CYOA again in the future.
