Couldn't be better!
We (a group of 5 guys) chartered from Island Cruising for a week of sailing in the Gulf Islands near Victoria BC.
The service provided was great, boat and equipment was first class and the price was right.
Our boat was ready when promised, in immaculate condition and basic provisions supplied as promised. We bought our own food for this adventure, but they will shop for you (your list) or provide full provisions (their list).
A nice touch was a basket with wine, cheese and crackers awaiting us upon arrival.
Check-out of the boat was thorough and efficient and we were on our way!
I haven't chartered much, but I don't see how it could be much better or easier.
We'll be back!

Awesome sailing
It is tough to describe desolation sound unless you've been there, you really can't replicate the beauty and pure natural pacific coast surroundings anywhere. In fact, the trick is just getting here - there are few charter bases nearby so either you have a long drive/ plane trip here or you sail up from Vancouver or Bellingham. A great couple runs the outfit and have been doing it for a long time. Decent boats (a mix of newer and older) and good service.

Amazing Experience
I have chartered in several places now, and none was as beautiful as the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. The only sign of civilization we saw after leaving the harbor is a single sailboat over the course of our week in this prestine wilderness. The boat (a Beneteau 361) was in good condition and had a working heater - we needed it looking at the glaciers! As for chartering here, Sailing Inc is the only game in town, but fortunately it is very well run by Deborah and her husband. A truly unique charter.
