Good option for Thailand
I went took a 2-week charter with Sunsail last year and had fun. They run a good operation. The briefing and the guide book were really good. I took an older Beneteau that had clearly been beat up over a few years. It was fine though and I negotiated a good last-minute rate on it.
As far as where to go, the highlights were Ao Phang Na, it was incredible. Rai Lay Beach was also beautiful.
The people we met along the way were all very friendly, though communication was sometimes difficult.
